Starting at the end...
Here's what it looked like when I finished. I know...chop the tail next (at present it's the stock fender with a plate relocator I made myself). This Zard system was installed on a 2006 S2R 800 dark. I'm not a mechanic, so keep that in mind when using this information for own work. The Zard system came without instructions and extra parts, so take this for what it's worth. I believe they now come with install instructions, however.
I started with a stock exhaust system, then upgraded to the Desmoworld.de cat eliminator pipe, still with stock cans. Now I've upgraded to a full system that allows me to have one exhaust to each side. Much louder too. Looks great. Still ran fine with no tweaking yet, but a bit lean looking at the plugs (stock was a bit lean too). Click the images to see what I did. Again, keep in mind there were no instructions, so you may find that different combos of bolts/washers/etc. works better for you. Only thing I changed later was to buy a shorter bolt for the left side to get rid of the spacer used, but none of that impacts the overall fit or stability.
