First off, photo credit for this parts pic goes to 2cati on the DML. It's one photo I forgot to take. I've edited the version here to number the parts I used, and some I did not use (oops?). In my case, I did not get the springs pictured here. Fortunately, the dealer near me had the exact same springs. In the end, it all aligned ok and was solid (but I think I'll spray some parts black later). Have no idea if it was done as intended though, but it works for me.
General notes on the order of work...
Removed seat cowl and seat, took off the old cans and pipes, then started figuring out how to piece together the mounting hardware from the Zard kit. Once that was done, I put the right side can w/pipe on the mid section pipe (didn't work to put it on after mid pipe is attached) and did a test fit (more pics later) connecting it to the rear header (short pipe) and engine mount (used original mounting hardware on right side). Once that was in place, I did a test fit of the left side can w/pipe and tested the alignment of the mounting brackets. I then went on to test fit the front pipe section.
