Starting with part #7 (see pic for parts/numbers), the mounting bracket from the Zard kit, I used the existing washer and nut from the mounting point as seen in the picture above, but with the addition of the Zard bracket, I had to use the slightly longer #1 bolt. As noted in the pic above, I put the bracket just under the part with the red arrow. If you stand above the backend of the bike and look at the Zard bracket and the existing frame mount on the right side, you'll see how it's lining up. In my case, I had to put the bracket just under the part in the pic in order to keep the part of the bracket that's used for mounting, (later pic), from skewing out at an odd angle. Results may vary as they say...See next pic for the second attachment point of this bracket. One additional note...I left everything snug, but not fully tightened (and with no lock-tite), until I was sure the alignment was right on. |
