Here you can see that once the mid pipe and right can are in place, you can line up the mid pipe mounting point with the existing mounting hardware already on the bike from the stock exhaust. In my case the existing mounting hardware fit best on the outside of the bike, but I've seen pics for other bikes where it worked best on the inside. Do what works best. I didn't notice any reason why it would need to be one way or another.
Once in place, put on the left side can/pipe. Put in the mounting bolts and snug it down a bit. Adjust the other mounting bolts on the other can, and the Zard bracket and mid pipe mount again as needed.
